Working with consumer and fan interaction technology startup Equitbl, Umbro has created ‘The Nations’ Collection.’ With the Football World Cup weeks away, it is an excellent opportunity to get some fantastic football ‘digital collectibles’ known as NFTs. The NFTs will be available directly through Equitbl’s new Web3 marketplace Dnizn. Pre-registration for the UmbroID digital collections is live now via Dnizn.
‘The Nations’ Collection’ by Umbro features a unique UmbroID character and of course, the famous Umbro logo. The UmbroID (‘Umbro’ + ‘Droid’) NFTs are digital representations of ‘football fans’ wearing some of the most iconic Umbro football kits of all time.
Umbro and the history of Football go hand-in-hand. Since 1924, they have created products such as kits, balls, and boots for the world’s most popular sport. Now, Umbro is also entering the web3 space with a futuristic collection of NFTs.
“We are excited to partner with Dnizn to launch the first-ever Umbro digital collectible and officially mark our entry into the exciting world of Web3,” said Anthony Little, Managing Director, Umbro. “This collection represents our desire to delight and reward everyone with an experience that lives – and evolves – in the world of Web3.”
The UmbroID Character Represents Fans From All Over The World
To design the Umbro NFT collection, Equitbl partnered with AcidFC. They are a design studio specializing in football culture to create something extraordinary. Additionally, the design team has remixed some of Umbro’s most famous international and club kits for this NFT collection.
What’s more, the Umbro team has designed standalone collections for England and Brazil while also creating fusion shirts inspired by classics from the France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, and USA catalogs.
Gamification and community are core features of the project. Significantly, the Umbro NFT football collection will also offer rewards, such as physical and digital giveaways. Finally, there will be competitions and quizzes for NFT holders.
