The Proof of Protest NFT collection was created by Pussy Riot in collaboration with Ksti Hu. The artwork features a glass bottle, branded with a “Feminism” label. Undoubtedly, it is a strong protest piece that opposes the Supreme Court of the United States’s ruling that overturned the landmark 1973 Roe vs Wade case.

It is not only a strong collection in itself but also an extension of other Pussy Riot statement pieces. These include “Panic Attack”, “Virgin Mary, Please Become a Feminist”, ACAB, “Drink My Blood” and “Riot Girls”.

The Proof of Protest NFT drop has just launched at 2 p.m. EST today. Minting lasts 24 hours on Lenster – a decentralized microblogging and social networking platform powered by the Lens protocol.

All funds from the Proof of Protest NFT collection will go to support reproductive rights. In fact, UnicornDAO set up a new ETH wallet, LegalAbortion.eth as a donation hub alongside Endaoment. Pussy Riot, in collaboration with the DAOs, will distribute the proceeds to Center for Reproductive Rights, Fund Texas Choice, Sister Song, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Fos Feminista, Planned Parenthood as well as URGE.

According to Stani Kulechov, CEO of Aave Companies, the development team behind Lens Protocol: “By allowing activists like Pussy Riot to go direct-to-audiences with a technology that makes NFT minting as simple as posting or liking a post, Lens is empowering a new generation of humanitarians with a way to make an immediate global impact without fear of censorship.”

About Pussy Riot and Nadya Tolokonnikova

Nadya Tolokonnikova is the conceptual artist and activist who founded Pussy Riot. Today, hundreds of people identify as Pussy Riot members.

She gained global notoriety after being sentenced to two years in prison for her anti-Putin performance. Since then, Nadya Tolokonnikova has spoken at the US Congress, the EU and the British Parliament. What’s more, art world heavyweights Marina Abramovic and Ai Weiwei supported the collective.
