The classic Manga Series, Captain Tsubasa, is coming to the blockchain! The brand new web3 game, CAPTAIN TSUBASA -RIVALS- will go live at the end of 2022 and offers fans of the famous football Manga to interact with the series in a completely different way. Moreover, the game will focus on key characters from the iconic Manga comic series and allow gamers to play as them using NFTs.

Some great companies have worked hard to bring this extraordinary Manga football universe to life as a smartphone game. Game developer Thirdverse Group is working with BLOCKSMITH&Co. to launch the Web3 game.

Created in 1981, Captain Tsubasa is a legendary Japanese Manga anthology series. Now, this highly influential game is coming to the blockchain. It will allow fans and people new to the series to have fun in an exciting, challenging game.

“Being a part of a game using new technologies, such as the blockchain and NFTs, is something new. Although the game is still in the works, I have high expectations for the experience it will bring to players. I hope that everyone will be able to enjoy this new game,” said Yoichi Takahashi, author of Captain Tsubasa.

Each character in the new football Manga game is also an NFT that is randomly generated. Every character has different attributes, such as special moves, skills, features, and compatibility.

In the game, players can train characters and compete against other players. Significantly, one of the most impressive features is the ability to collect items by playing against other players. These items are exchangeable for rewards, such as playable characters and more.

By doing this, you can level up your character. There is even an in-game NFT marketplace, allowing CAPTAIN TSUBASA -RIVALS to buy, sell and swap characters.
